I’ve often wondered if it would be possible now, using modern flexible LED strips, to make a sort of whitewall tire with a transparent rubber used for the white part that lights up... The problem was always with the bulbs in the tires shattering, but now we’ve basically got flexible bulbs that last a long time and can’t shatter, so why not?

I want to do a car with the body covered entirely with lcd screens. Light up LED tires would go nicely with that.
